Someone here complained about the translation of these words. So, I've reread all my sources (dictionaries, blogs and personal communications).
The consensus is, mulopyo is just a short form of the word lumulupyo. Hence, both word should have the same translation.
Take note molupyo is a misspelling, the correct spelling is mulupyo. It is a noun and it should not have a verbal prefix mo-. I hope this will satisfy your curiosity.
Orthography
I was already following the Bisaya Magazine orthography before the Akademiyang Binisaya published their dictionary.
Both orthography agrees on the O and U usage on Cebuano rootwords. They only differ a little bit on the loanwords. Bisaya Magazine considers the historical usage of the loanword, while the Akademiyang Binisaya just allows it. Meaning they are rigidly following a phonetic spelling.
I think the BisMag approach has more aesthetic appeal. However, the Akademiya still need to disseminate their dictionary widely. My order from National Bookstore was denied due lack of available copy.
