Bogo sa yuta na akong natawhan

Maayong Adllaw kaninyong tanan

Bag-o ko na Bisaya, in a sense that I'm becoming proud of my own dialect. You can't basically live in this country without going to school first and learn their language, after that pwede na ka maka-trabaho comfortably. Dili sila mo-adjust nimo, dili sila mag-english para nimo. Tun-an nimo ilang language or mu-uli ka'g Pinas.

I've always been fascinated about the Chinese and Japanese History, thinking that "Kung naa sila'y rulers thousands of years ago, imposible na wala sad ta'y civilization before Spaniards claimed territory". And to my surprise, naa gyud sila. All of you must be dissappointed to hear that I'm illiterate on my own roots. Yes, mao ming kabataan karon sa Cebu. I speak for the general teenagers and young adults of Cebu, other than the people who study at prestigious Schools in Cebu and some College students...

I know a lot of people don't really like studying History because it's boring, but why do I know more of the events that happened in Luzon rather than my own island? Isn't this unfair?

We have little sources of the Old Cebu and we have to preserve the knowledge, pero nganong dapat ako mismo mo-effort na mangita sa internet? Why can't these recordings be sitting comfortably on gradeschooler's/highschooler's textbooks?

But this has been my concern for a very long time. Like for officials, or adressing someone older; Mama ug Papa ba sa-una ang tawag sa atong parents?

Would really appreciate everyone's feedback and also answers to my question. I hope you'll think about my opinion positively, as a young adult that has so many question about her own island, my questions and beliefs are out of pure innocent thoughts.
