huh!? (laughing) hey you cousin.

hehehe... my cousin is rich now. the word DATO is a general word for rich folks and generally when you are rich you have followers it can also mean a little king or a chief or a leader. Back then leaders were called dato, and when you are a dato you are also rich. So the word dato has become synoymous with a well to do person or rich and a chief or leader of a tribe.

Madahag madatu gaw lol
I could never be rich, cousin, lol well this statement can also be translated as Rich is an overstatement

hehehe....libre unyagaw be
hehehe... cousin please why don't you buy me something usually when relatives see their cousins as having climbed up the social ladder as in getting wealthy, they usually ask them to buy something endearingly, like a child asking for an ice cream. If such were true, the wealthy relative is usually feeling obliged to do so, but not compelled, compelling ones relative to do so is bad manners. Thos who do compel their relatives to buy, are called baga og nawong literally in english thick face or thick skin. So far in this case it sounds this is like an endearment.

maao ka gaw
really cousin or it can be translated as yeah right. Gaw comes from the word ig-agaw meaning cousin. Some folks are too modest to say that they are rich or are simply holding off. So I guess this last statement was rhetorical. Literally it would mean right cousin.
